A fine piece should feel like a sure thing. Here’s exactly what we stand behind — and the few honest exceptions.
Change of heart, made easy.
You have 30 days from delivery to return an eligible piece in its original, unworn condition with all documentation. Just contact our concierge and we’ll send you a prepaid, insured return label — your piece is protected the whole way back.
Choose how you’d like to be made whole
On an eligible return, the choice is yours:
- A free exchange for another piece — the easiest swap if size or style is the only thing you’d change.
- Store credit plus 10% extra — take a little more to put toward whatever catches your eye next.
- A full refund to your original payment method, processed within a few business days of your piece reaching us.
And most sizing worries never need a return at all — see free first-year resizing just below.
Honest exceptions
A few pieces are made or altered uniquely for you and can’t be returned — and we’d rather say so plainly than bury it:
- Engraved or personalized pieces are made uniquely for you and aren’t eligible for return or exchange.
- Bespoke and fully custom commissions are non-returnable, since they’re designed around your specifications from the start.
- Pieces we’ve resized to your finger are altered specifically for you — your complimentary resize stands behind the fit instead.
The one thing that always applies: if a piece arrives with a manufacturing defect, the exceptions above don’t — we’ll make it right regardless. See the warranty below.
The perfect fit, on us — at first.
Fit changes, and a ring should keep up. Your first resize within the first year of ownership is complimentary — you cover only insured shipping to us, and we handle the rest. After the first year, or for any additional resizes, we resize at cost, with a clear quote before we begin.
A few designs can’t be resized
Certain styles are built in a continuous line of stones and can’t be sized without compromising the design. We’ll always flag this before you order:
- Eternity bands set all the way around
- Tennis necklaces and bracelets
- Some intricate or channel-set settings

Made to last a lifetime — and backed for one.
Every Viviour piece carries a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. If a defect appears, we’ll repair or remake the piece at no cost. It’s the natural extension of the craftsmanship that goes into every piece we ship.
What’s covered
- Defects in materials or workmanship for the life of the piece
- Loose or fallen stones due to a setting fault
- Clasp or structural failures caused by manufacturing
What isn’t — and why
So the warranty stays meaningful, it doesn’t cover ordinary wear or accidents:
- Everyday wear, scratches, and gradual thinning of metal over years
- Accidental damage, loss, or theft
- Damage from improper repair or alteration by a third party
Outside the warranty? We’ll still take a look and offer a fair repair quote — your piece deserves a long life either way.
Independently certified. Easy to confirm.
Your diamond arrives with an independent grading report from IGI — one of the most respected laboratories in the world. You never have to take our word for the quality; you can confirm it yourself.
How to verify your stone
- Find the certificate number printed on your grading report and order documents.
- Most diamonds carry a laser inscription of that number on the girdle — visible under magnification — matching the report.
- Enter the number on the lab’s official verification page and confirm the details match your report.
